The missing Piece

This isn’t a full blog post. Just a secret being revealed for my readers. IYKYK.

Out of Chaos, Poem #11, The Duality of Selves:

You, me, and our conflicting selves

Locked in a room, confused

Tasked with the pleasure of piecing together

A puzzle

We sit there, bemused

This puzzle of innumerable pieces

Multifarious shapes out of place

Strewn on the ground all around us

Bewildered, we sit, face to face

Trying to work out the image

But our selves do not see it the same

Our unmatched perspective perplexes us

Befuddled, we sit there, in vain

Given a task so simple to most

Becomes a battle of both perceptions

Two selves, unaligned, search the pieces

Baffled, by our own apprehensions

This fragmented image

Undeveloped

Scattered in every direction

One by one, we pick up each piece

And arrange them section by section

Casting aside our own inputs

Putting each piece into place

The image comes slowly together

Now in sync, here we sit, interlaced

Building and building and building

But will eternally remain incomplete

This puzzle before us

Forever unfinished

Two selves

And one missing piece.

After years of debate, I can confirm.
The missing piece is love.
